JEN MARSHALL
Chief of Staff
Jen is our go-to problem solver - you will find her working behind the scenes strategizing and managing our practice growth, coordinating our efforts in research, education, advocacy & outreach, planning events & communication, and general office management. Jen spent 20+ years in public service as a government researcher and program/project manager.
Personally impacted and inspired by our mission, she pivoted careers in 2024 and is dedicating herself to advancing women’s sexual and menopausal health.
She is a mom to two teenagers and spends her free time volunteering with her local conservation league and cub-scout pack, as well as mentoring and coaching early/mid-career women.

COLLEEN FISHER
Executive Assistant
Colleen brings nearly two decades of communications and project management experience — along with 27 years as a nationally recognized fitness instructor and health advocate — to the team. She has supported physicians, health leaders, nonprofits, and corporations with marketing, branding, event coordination, advocacy, fundraising, community building, and digital content development. She also captained an indoor-cycling Cycle for Survival team for 12 years, raising $2.6M for rare-cancer research and earning MSK’s Game Changer Award.
Currently navigating menopause herself, Colleen brings both empathy and humor to the practice’s mission — and believes evidence-based care (and HRT – wink, wink) can make all the difference.

At the practice, she supports daily operations, project flow, and communications, helping ensure every touchpoint reflects the clarity, compassion, and excellence central to Dr. Rubin’s mission. She and her husband live in Chevy Chase, Md., and are the proud parents of four sons.

GRACE HAUER
Lead Medical Assistant / Pre-Med Intern
Grace started with us as an intern in July 2024 and is now leading and mentoring our new cohort of medical assistants/interns.
Grace graduated from Bucknell University and studied Biology and Women’s and Gender Studies in 2024. She is applying to medical school and is most interested in women’s medicine, especially the intersection of advocacy, public policy, and clinical care.
In her free time, Grace loves visiting museums (currently working through all of the Smithsonians!), reading, knitting, and when she’s back at home in New Jersey, going “down the shore” to the beach!

AUDREY TWYFORD
Medical Assistant / Pre-Med Intern
Audrey is our newest intern for 2025! She is graduating from Georgetown University in May 2025, where she studied Biology of Global Health.
She is thrilled to be staying in the D.C. area to help patients and learn more about sexual medicine. She plans to apply to medical school next year and is particularly passionate about women's health.
In her free time, Audrey likes taking ballet classes and visiting art museums in D.C.

AMARIS LEWIS
Medical Assistant / Pre-Med Intern
Amaris is one of our newest medical assistants! She was born and raised in New Orleans before attending Stanford University, where she studied neurobiology and graduated in 2023. While there, she served as a sexual health peer counselor and sex educator while doing reproductive health advocacy with Planned Parenthood Generation Action. It was also during this time that she fell in love with studying hormones while completing her Honors thesis on the evolution and physiology of parental care in amphibians.
She then completed her Master’s in Clinical and Therapeutic Neuroscience at Oxford. Amaris is especially excited to keep learning about connections between the brain and sexual well-being. In her free time, she loves baking, yoga, queer literature/media, and getting to know DC’s many parks and museums.

CHIEMERIE AKUNYILI
Medical Assistant / Pre-Med Intern
Chiemerie (MeMe) Akunyili is our newest intern for 2025! She graduated from Columbia University with a major in Biology in May of 2025.
With her interest initially sparked by her time shadowing in pediatric urology, MeMe is excited to dive deeper into the work of Urology and Sexual Medicine at Rachel Rubin MD. She is especially interested in learning more about patient education and community work.
In her free time, MeMe enjoys sketching, watching musicals, and spending time with friends and family.

SARINA HANFLING
Clinical Researcher / Med Student
Sarina is our first full-time clinical research coordinator. She is between her 3rd and 4th years of medical school and is taking an additional year to dedicate to sexual medicine research!
She is a student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and graduated from Tufts University undergraduate in 2020. She hopes to use this impactful year to address under-researched areas in sexual medicine, help improve patients’ quality of life, and decide on a medical specialty.
In her free time, Sarina loves living in and exploring Baltimore city, cooking elaborate meals, and spending time with her partner and cats.
