Are you looking for an opportunity to support a practice that treats patients of all genders for sexual medicine concerns including pain, function, libido, hormone health, and more?

 

At the Rachel Rubin MD Urology and Sexual Medicine practice in the Washington, DC area, we are looking to inspire the next generation of medical students. 

 

We’ve established a paid clinical & research internship specifically targeting individuals pursuing 1-2 gap years before entering medical school.

 

You will:

• Receive mentorship from leading physicians in urology and sexual medicine

• See under-researched medical conditions

• Join a practice where physicians take time with patients and truly listen to themLearn medicine you’ll never learn in med school

• Create your own projects in sexual medicine education/research/advocacy

• Provide clinical support to the practice

• Work to improve patient quality of life and see the results

• Collaborate in a supportive work and learning environment

 

Job Description:

• Direct clinical support: taking patient phone calls and responding to portal messages; walking patients through care plans

• Office support: ordering labs; previewing lab results; going through patient records and summarizing key findings; processing insurance prior authorizations; refilling prescriptions; assisting the front office when necessary

• Research/Case Studies: each intern will have a special project in one or more of the categories of research, advocacy, and education

• Practice support: writing email newsletters; writing blog posts; creating social media content; collecting patient testimonials; updating the website as needed

 

Opportunities will range in 1-2 year, full-time paid internships.
